Growing up eating right and moving often was a daily message my mother sent me- from milking the cow to finding garage sale ski gear my mother always found a way for us to eat right and move often.  My love for the gym started at an early age, my mom actually cleaned Joe’s gym as a party time job and I of course had to help.  While they’re all the machines and charts on the wall that showed how our bodies functioned always fascinated me. I would always get my work done so I could “play” around with the equipment.  School sports and other activities took over for a few years before I found myself back in the weight room in my early teen years.  I have played several sports but the gym is something that has always been a constant in my life.  After high school I wasn’t sure what to do with my life and ended up getting a job with the CIBC here in Pincher Creek, I would go to the gym most days during my lunch break as a way to break up my day.  I soon learned that the gym I was attending- Fusion Fitness was for sale.  I thought about purchasing it, but not for long, this decision came very easy to me.  Within a month the gym was in my name, I was 21.  At the time my goal was to have memberships and have a few personal training clients.  Over time seeing
people come to the gym day in and day out and never really achieving there goals or using there entire potential I became annoyed and knew there was a better way. How could I make my facility more personal and help more people reach their goals without a bunch of crazy equipment and having them spend a fortune on personal training?  I had taken several personal training courses as well as my Yoga certification, proper movement was always my first priority, and I found myself constantly researching Functional Movement. I kept stumbling on CrossFit videos- gymnastics, weightlifting, intensity, this stuff was awesome!   Eventually I found the CrossFit main site and started to follow the workouts, I was excited everyday to see what it was I would be working on as they always left me completely humbled. In 2011 I decided to take my CrossFit Level 1 and started implementing what I learned into my programming for my personal training clients, the loved it! After some thought I decided to become a CrossFit affiliate.  I have watched my clients reach goals they never thought possible and a gym turn into a buzzing little community that makes me proud to be a part of.  I put my heart and soul into helping people move well and improve there quality of life, I feel proud of the product we have here and CrossFit Pincher Creek and I can not
wait to see what will be achieved next.
